APO Group (www.APO-opa.com), the leading Pan-African communications consultancy and press release distribution service, is proud to announce that Lynne Krawchuk, Vice President of Digital, PR, and Media Relations, has been appointed as a judge for the prestigious PRovoke SABRE Awards Africa 2023.
Judges for the awards are selected from the most senior ranks of the public relations industry across the continent following an exhaustive peer review judging process. Lynne has had a profound impact on the industry and is lauded for her impeccable expertise and revolutionary campaigns.
The PRovoke SABRE Awards Africa is a premier event that recognises excellence and the best PR accomplishments in communications, PR, branding, engagement and reputation for companies and professionals in the industry. It serves as Africa’s most prestigious industry awards and takes place on 18 May 2023.
The winners from the regional competition automatically go through to the EMEA awards and stand a chance of going through to the global SABRE Awards. At the global event, the 50 best public relations campaigns from around the world are recognised and in the running to possibly earn a spot in the Global Creative Index (http://bit.ly/3D9wCR9) ranking.
This is not the first time that Lynne has been appointed as a judge for industry-related awards. She was previously a judge for the New Generation Awards in 2020 and 2021; the Effie Awards South Africa, part of the Effie Awards Worldwide in 2022; and the Global PR Drum Awards 2022.
Lynne has worked extensively in Africa and Europe and currently leads APO Group’s PR consultancy division. Located in Johannesburg (South Africa), she has more than 20-years’ experience under her belt.
Last year, Lynne and her team walked away with four wins from the PRovoke SABRE Awards Africa. These included their extensive work for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) which debunked false and discriminatory narratives about migration in Africa. Another award went to their campaign around the Jack Ma Foundation Africa Business Heroes (ABH) Prize Competition – which was aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in Africa and empowering Africa’s business leaders of tomorrow. The APO Group generated maximum media coverage for this campaign, which led to a surging number of applications from across the continent and resulted in one of the most successful competition editions ever.
The team were also awarded a Certificate of Excellence for their Africa Frontiers of Innovation Campaign for Canon Central and North Africa, as well as a Certificate of Excellence for their rebranding of Liquid Intelligent Technologies. Lynne’s selection as a judge for the SABRE Awards this year is a testament to her extraordinary accomplishments in the industry, as well as the exemplary work she does in Africa.
“It is a privilege and honour to be selected as a Judge for the PRovoke SABRE Awards Africa 2023. There is no greater event that recognises public relations excellence, so I am thrilled to be able to acknowledge and play a part in rewarding some of the best campaigns of the year, alongside the most talented people in our industry,” said Krawchuk.
“Across Africa, there is an enormously vast and diverse talent pool and I know we, the judging panel, are looking forward to seeing the exceptional strategies, achievements and successes on this exciting journey.”
Founder and Chairman of APO Group, Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard, said the team were extremely proud of Lynne.
“This selection is a testament to the outstanding teamwork being done by APO Group across the length and breadth of Africa, which is led by Lynne. She has been at the helm of our PR efforts, which is for some of the most prominent organisations in the world including Canon, FIFA, and Nestlé. Her team on the ground have built deep, solid relationships with journalists and editors, and this speaks volumes about the pioneering work we do in Africa,” said Pompigne-Mognard.
